And suddenly, she’s back again!

I took a little vacation from the blog. I’m back. Try to control yourselves.

• What are you currently reading? I am currently reading Gone with the Wind: A Best Seller’s Odyssey from Atlanta to Hollywood. Being a GWTW freak since I was a teenager, I had read every book, magazine, pamphlet or flyer ever printed about the book or movie already and had started turning up my nose at what I considered new rehashes of the same information. My boyfriend insisted that I at least try this new one and I am very glad he did. This has new letters from the woman who is responsible for GWTW being printed in the first place, Mitchell’s friend Cole, who was an assistant editor with Macmillan. A VERY interesting read even if you aren’t a uber-GWTW fan, as I am.

 

• What did you recently finish reading? Hollow Point. My book club read it as a favor to a friend of a friend. It was the author’s first book, was published without an editor and from a very cheap publishing house. The only thing I can say about it is that it’s a quick read. I hate to be so … truthful about it but … it needed some help that it did not receive. Oh well.

• What do you think you’ll read next? Our next book for book club is GONE WITH THE WIND. Not only will I be reading it, maybe twice, I will be bringing part of my GWTW collection as show and tell. This is my very loved, much read and stained up copy.
