Lamar County Courthouse, Part VI
I haven’t blogged about the courthouse here lately because…well frankly, they haven’t been doing much of anything except working on the framing for the clock tower.
They’ve added this around the top with two metal “hooks”:
They’ve done some framing in the areas where they’re going to have to bust out bricks and windows to create entrances. You can see the studs and ply board through the windows:
Then they went back and added some more to the framing around the top last week:
There’s still quite a lot of steel beams in the construction area so they’re not through bracing up by a long shot.
I’ll come back and report more when there’s more to report. This is the slow moving part but the part that will make the most difference in the look of the building. I can deal with slow.
