Lamar County Courthouse Part VIII

Movin’ right along…
In my last email to the architect, I pleaded with him to tell me that they would not be topping the newly renovated courthouse with an ugly red metal roof like it was before. He said the visible part will be tile (as the original was), topped by the clock tower.
Then, on Monday morning, I drove by and saw this welcome sight. No ugly red metal roof. Spanish tile.
Then on Thursday, I saw they had started work in the new side entrances on the OUTSIDE of those 1950’s wings. Laying cement blocks and back filling with dirt.
